Edwin Stolk describes himself as radical phenomenologist, a subjective terrorist, a situationist and material actionist.

As a contemporary warrior, his aim is to search for predefined experiences on all possible levels. 'Disciplinary societies' where the individual was continuously located within one closed environment or another, each having its own laws as described by Michel Foucault are over, Stolk interacts with the contemporary 'society of control' as described by philosopher Gilles Deleuze. With temporary interventions, ambiguous situations he questions power structures and investigates our idea of reality. These situations are trajectories rather than destinations.

January 2011 Edwin Stolk founded the hybrid open source 'THE ORGANISATION'. An attempt to stimulate collaboration and increase to possibilities of the individual to increase horizontal bottom up initiatives. As Stolk states: "It's now time to leave the safe havens and hiding places and infiltrate"

Als hedendaagse strijder zoekt hij op alle mogelijke niveaus naar een voorgedefinieerde ervaring. 'De disciplinaire maatschappij' waar het individu zich continue binnen een duidelijk kader begeeft, elk met zijn eigen regels en wetten zoals filosoof Michel Foucault dat heeft omschreven zijn over, Stolk reflecteert op de hedendaagse 'gecontroleerde maatschappij' zoals beschreven dor de filosoof Gilles Deleuze. Met tijdelijke interventies, wisselvallige situaties onderzoekt hij machtstructuren en onze idee vorming van realiteit. Deze situaties zijn geen bestemmingen maar trajecten.

Januari 2011 heeft Edwin Stolk de hybride 'open source' beweging 'DE ORGANISATIE' opgericht. Een serieuze poging om samenwerkingsverbanden te stimuleren en de capaciteiten van het individu te vergroten zodat initiatieven van onderaf georganiseerd meer invloed krijgen. Zoals Stolk zegt: "Het is nu tijd om onze schuilplaatsen te verlaten en te infiltreren..."
